Curry in a Hurry!

I don't have any regrets about my life to date, I do think I might have made some better choices if I knew then what I do now.
Most of these are to do with my chosen career I've always been in a retail environment but had the chance on leaving school to join the RAF it was a join now or finish college and re-apply later choice I chose the latter and that was passed by.
To this day I still think my preferred choice would have been as a chef I love to cook and love cooking for people, there is very little that compares to seeing smiling faces and sounds of contentment as people tuck into your food.

Here's a really Easy simple Thai Fish Curry for 2

Ingredients:
2 pieces of frozen Coley
4 Teaspoons of Thai Red Curry Paste (Barts is best)
1 Red Pepper
6 Baby corn
A handful of French Beans
1 tin of Coconut Milk
Juice of 1 Lemon
2 handfuls of Rice

Method:
  1. Empty the Coconut milk into a large pan / wok
  2. Thinly slice the red pepper
  3. Chop the baby corn into fingernail sized chunks
  4. Cut the French beans in half
  5. Bring the coconut milk to the boil and add all the vegetables and reduce to a simmer
  6. Place the rice in a pan just cover with boiling water and boil for 5 minutes
  7. Place the coley fillets in a microwaveable bowl and squeeze over juice of the lemon, cover and heat on full for 3 minutes.
  8. Turn the fillets and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  9. Add more liquid to the rice if needed and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  10. Remove the fillets from the bowl discard the lemon juice and add the fish roughly chopped to the pan with the coconut milk and vegetables, cook for a further 2 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!!!

Signs of Stupidity?

I saw this sign today on a journey through Oxfordshire / Northamptonshire and I wondered exactly what the point of the 'For 3 miles' bit is?

A standard red warning triangle sign is just that a warning of a situation ahead on the road so without the 'For 3 miles' sign you would be aware that there may be deer on the road ahead, this sign says that this is only a possibility for 3 miles. Now like most motorists once passing the mentioned situation my driving would revert to normal hazard perception but 3 miles is a very precise distance for a seemingly random and non predictable hazzard do the deer know that they may not cross the road 3.5 miles down the road? Is there some sort of deer proof fence boxing them into the 3 mile zone, if so why not run it along the road too and install an underpass for them?

If an underpass sounds far fetched check this site out for badger tunnels http://www.badgerland.co.uk/help/badgers/precautionary/tunnels.html

On the subject of stupid signs....

Mmm I kid you not!!
Any other suggestions?

A new beginning.....

Hi I'm an average bloke living in an average town with what I consider average 'middle class' views a group I consider to be the unheard majority.

The class system is something I don't agree with but by describing myself as 'middle class' you'll have an insight into where I am coming from.... living with my long term girlfriend our 15month old daughter a joint income of around £28,000 we own our own house and car and owe about £2000 on our credit cards.

We have worked hard for what we have and feel we have earnt it, there are things we would like a bigger house, a nicer car, a holiday abroad every year, our own business if we are good and save we may one day have these things but we never take what we have for granted.

I've tried to blog before but never really thought what I had to say would be of interest to anyone, that was until until I listened to what people didn't say, but I know they thought it.

I'm not an English teacher, I'm not a wordy person so excuse my incorrect punctuation (feel free to point out my mistakes constructive criticism is good) but I've always believed it's what you say rather than how it looks on paper (or screen)

Anyway I am not sure how this will progress but I hope to make some new friends and share my views with anyone who would like to listen and debate, I don't claim to be right or better than anyone else but do feel I know the difference between right and wrong and where things could have been done better.

I think my introduction is done I am sure more will come out as I blog further but if you want to know more just ask.
